Mashbill blend: 90% of 7yr Indiana @ 51% Rye, 45% Corn, 4% Malted Barley;
10% of 17yr Tennessee @ 84% Corn, 8% Rye, 8% Malted Barley

Aged: 7 (blend of 7 and 17 year)

Proof: 107.0

MRSP: $160 (got it for $119)

Why I chose it: Here’s our first bottle that blends two different mashbills in one expression—and our first finished whiskey in the calendar.

I’m a huge fan of rum-finished whiskey and have been eyeing this one for years. When it finally showed up at a clearance price, I had to grab it. I’ve loved almost everything Bardstown Bourbon Company puts out, so I was excited to share this (normally pricier) bottle with the group this year.

It’s also our first trip outside Kentucky—sourced from neighboring Indiana and Tennessee, then blended and finished for 23 months in rum barrels at BBC in Bardstown.
